Fuel Cells
Overview:
Fuel cells are used to produce electricity from different raw materials
without causing harmful emissions (exhaust gases).
In contrast the combustion of fossil fuels like gas, gasoline etc.
always generates harmful emissions and moreover the reserves will
be exhausted one day. One alternative, nuclear energy doesn't cause
harmful exhaust gases, but is widely considered as unsafe or dangerous.
Therefore fuel cells are often considered as a revolution in power
production. At present, fuel cells are used in space travel and
in the future, stationary systems should be implemented in houses,
mobile fuel cells for example in cars.
The analysis starts in monitoring and optimizing the processes
running in the whole fuel cell powertrain and ends with the measurement
and optimization of the emissions.
